  • In-Between: What’s it like to be Introverted w/ Jay & Steph from Stay Introverted

We've all heard the word introvert, but what exactly does that mean? Jay and Steph from the Stay Introverted podcast join me on this week's In-Between and answer that very question and also explain how two introverts started a podcast.

In this week's episode, the three of us talk about:

    • What is an introvert? What does it mean to be introverted?
    • Misconceptions and unfair stereotypes about introverted individuals
    • Differences between introverts and extroverts and how they play off each other
    • Social dynamics and personal relationships between introverts and extroverts
    • How the pandemic highlighted the introverted community
    • What your introverted friends want you to know

As an extrovert myself, I learned SO much from Jay and Steph about being introverted. Heck, this conversations even made me question myself – am I fully extroverted? Another question, has my extroversion affected my introverted husband? **laughs nervously**

I also joined Jay and Steph on their podcast, so be sure to check that out too!

  • In-Between: Romanticizing Your Life

Hello February! In the theme of love, today's episode talks about romanticizing your life.  Maybe you heard this phrase during the pandemic, but we're essentially glamorizing the mundane day-to-day tasks. We are fabulous, even if we don't live in the French countryside, so why not play up our daily lives? I really love the concept because to me, it's another form of self love.

What else am I in-between this week?

    • February themes of love and Groundhog day; anyone else feel like it's still 2019?
    • New workout class
    • Unreal candy & finding healthier alternatives to snackies
    • Our country's new mental health support team, Sesame Street, starring Elmo!
    • Crushing my ADHD and to-do lists
    • Making friends on the internet – should I bring back my Adult Friendships series?
    • The Hurkle Durkle life

Don't forget to like, subscribe, and rate the show wherever you listed to your podcasts! Help ya girl out. 😉

Kristen and I met where everyone does nowadays, the internet. We both have similar vibes in that we want to entertain, promote positivity, and help everyone feel not so alone in their struggles.

      • Reminder: Why self love is important
    • Why start a podcast? Is starting a podcast worth it? Is going after anything that scares you worth it?
    • Childhood trauma – how the way you were treated or talked to shape the way you think and act as an adult
    • Pop culture corner – Nicki Minaj versus Megan Thee Stallion; what's going on with this beef?

I'm full of energy on this week's In-Between. I'm talking about a lot of different little things, then sharing a full-circle moment I had over the weekend.

    • Oscar Nominations – ummm hello Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie??

      • The Power of words & language – why what we're consuming matters & my full circle moment with affirmations

That last bullet has a lot more nuance, so you'll have to listen to learn more! 😉

  • In-Between: Bopping Around & Catching Up

Why hello there! I had to take a "sick day" last week, so I apologize for the lack of notice on missing an episode last week. Do not fret! I'm catching you up on where I've been and what's been going on on this week's In-Between. I've been bopping here and bopping there, ya know.

    In this week's episode:

    • It's cold in Georgia! Don't make fun of us because we don't know how to "snow".
    • Vision Board Party Recap – it was a success!
    • …. however the party prep and planning, on top of the actual event, wiped me out! More on why I took a "sick day" and prioritized my needs.
    • Website progress! We're getting closer.  Should I do a giveaway with the launch?
    • Saltburn (I will leave it at that)
    • I'm still sad (& that's ok!). I'm going over why acknowledging that for myself is important.
    • Astrology!

I'm giving you life updates galore! Catch up with me and have a great rest of the week.

  • In-Between: The Magic of Vision Boards

Happy New Year! What are your plans for 2024? Can I interest you in a vision board?

In this week's episode, I delve into the steps to create your own vision board. Plus, we explore the psychology behind these visual aids. Did you know there's an area of neurons in your brain called the Reticular Activating System that plays a role in it? Fancy, right? Tune in to learn more.

I also touch upon monthly archetypes. While they aren't the same as vision boards, they can play a role in shaping your goals for the year.

Now, about vision boards – it's not that I think they are magical, no no. The real magic happens after you've established what you want and connected yourself emotionally to your goals.

Vision boards and monthly archetypes are not just tools; they're your ticket to a year filled with intention and unexpected magic. Who can argue with that? So, cheers to a new year and even more opportunity!  Let's do the dang thing.
