  • In-Between: Embracing Self-Love and Healing with Ashley Rossy

My heart is so excited to bring you this week’s In-Between. Ashley Rossy, an incredible friend and one of the coolest people I know, joins me on location in her magical garden room down in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This episode is nothing short of beautiful and offers meaningful conversation spread across some difficult topics but always guiding back to self-love.

    Here’s a look at what’s in store:

    • The power of PLAY and putting that into your day-to-day
    • Ashley has traveled all over the world, and she shares some of the wisdom she’s gained from multiple perspectives
    • How her journey brought her back to the states
    • …. and the challenging chapter she navigated once she did
    • Giving birth to her incredible baby girl and deciding she had to divorce her partner
      • The grace, kindness, and love she showed herself through this experience
      • The respect she has for herself, her baby, and her ex
    • How she got back on her path to healing and finding her divine feminine energy

  • In-Between: Sexuality is a Spectrum w/ Alex Armijo

To close Pride Month out with a bang, I asked my good friend, Alex Armijo, to come back on the pod and discuss a topic that puts me a little out of my comfort zone…. sexuality. Dun dun DUN! One might blame Chappel Roan, but this episode was inspired by the question, what does queer even mean?

Alex is an artist, DEI thought leader, a disability, LGBTQIA+, and human rights advocate. Basically, one of my favorite people to discuss these types of topics with. We also dive into Inside Out 2 (hehe).

Here’s a look at what we discuss:

    • Sexuality is a spectrum
    • Chapell Roan and her ownership of her queer identity and how that inspires others
    • What does queer even mean?
    • Alex and I share our first experiences with “sexuality”
    • Labels and how they can help or hurt….
    • What “coming out” represents
    • Finding your communities – they’re out there!
    • No matter what, who you love and what you enjoy are perfect and no one should ever take that away <3

This episode was scary for me to do, but sexuality isn’t something to be ashamed of. This is for anyone who may be scared, confused, or needing a reminder that they are perfect just the way they are.

Let your freak flag fly, baby!

  • In-Between: Adventures in Atlanta & Internet Friends w/ Sherreece Rowe

Note to anyone visiting Elizabeth in Atlanta- we’re going to be walking! (LOL) On that note, welcome back to the podcast, one of my favorite internet friends, Sherreece Rowe!

Sherreece and I were connected through my husband Stan during a sales call after sharing she was a podcaster. The rest they say is history. Finally after a year and a half, Sher and I met in person when she visited me in Atlanta.

This episode is our Atlanta recap, from the hilarious shenanigans we got into and so much more, here’s a look at what you’re in store for:

    • Welcome to Atlanta, apparently you have to pay $ for a lot (I mean, try getting a dj to play your song without a tip)
    • The food…. and how it wasn’t a win for Sherreece
    • Is Maryland a southern state?  Jury is still out on that one!
    • Walk walk walk walk walk everywhere – when I tell you we’re walking, believe me
    • Shutting down the Claremont Lounge
    • Internet friends and how to make them
    • Creative pursuits and how we support each other

The amount of giggles giggled in this episode barely hold a candle to the fun that we had while Sher was in town. Can’t wait our next visit, and in the meantime, you can check out Sher at the links below:

  • In-Between: Finding Your Inner Mad Scientist and Opening a Brewery with Chad & Ryan

What happens when you take passion, creativity, community, and nerdiness and throw it all together? You get Elixir Brew Co, a new brewery opening in Buford, GA. I had the privilege to interview Chad David and Ryan Keysar, the co-founders of Elixir Brew Co,  on this week’s episode.

Elixir’s tagline is “Finding Your Inner Mad Scientist”. Both Ryan and Chad say they’re in the business of people. They wanted to create a space to foster creativity and to build a  community where others feel safe and have a sense of belonging. These themes are deeply rooted in everything Ryan and Chad believe in and who they are as people.

    In this episode, we discus:

    • Where a love for board games fits into Elixir Brew Co
    • Why community is the most important thing & how it helped Chad and Ryan reach this point in their journeys
    • What inspired their idea to start a brewery
    • What goes into opening a business (yea, we’re talking about that red tape)
    • “Shower thoughts” – the best ideas sometimes come from the shower
    • The magic that happens when you’re following your path
    • Live taste test of four of their core beers!
    • What’s to come for Elixir Brew Co

You can follow Elixir Brew Co on Instagram at @elixir.brew.co or check our their website at https://elixirbrewco.com/

  • In-Between: A Podcaster’s Journey & Jurassic Park with Logan Lewis

I’ve got a special guest on the podcast this week. Welcome fellow podcaster, Logan Lewis, of Your Morning Drive!

Sometimes you let the conversation lead and see where it takes you. For me and Logan, our conversation took us on a journey through podcasting. Logan has been podcasting for a few years now as a hobby. He goes through all the different variations of his podcasting, from the different names and themes, multiple rebrandings, and how he evolved his show to Your Morning Drive and the inspiration for it.

I love an origin story and appreciate Logan sharing his non-linear path and all the pivots that followed. This is a great episode for anyone interested in starting a podcast or personal brand, especially if they have the resistance to start. You don’t have to have it all figured out! Heck, you can change the name one, two, even six times if you want! Just start. This episode is a great reminder that you do not have to have it all figured out.

Oh, and we’re also talking about pop culture, specifically Jurassic Park (fun fact: one of my favorite movies!).

Hold on to your butts (JPark reference LOL) and enjoy my chat with Logan! & be on the lookout for our live podcast show – ETA 2025 😉
