  • In-Between: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

In the voice of Molly Weasley, “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!” I know, I know, your girl had to go on a brief hiatus because there have been some major life changes!

This episode only touches the tip of the iceberg, but there will be more to come. **wink wink**
     Here’s a look:

    • Recent adventures like New Orleans, maybe not the food I expected but I had a blast celebrating my girl and dancing the night away on Bourbon Street
      •  The most INCREDIBLE mother-daughter trip to New York City – OMG! I have soooo much more to say about NYC, but i’m saving that for when my mom and I can hop on the mic together. It was truly magical, and I’m officially a NYC girly.
      • How did the NYC guest pitch go? You have to listen! I delve into the imposter syndrome, new things learned, and all that I gained from the outcome.
      • Hurry sickness – what’s that? My new self-diagnosis.
      • What’s TRULY been going on and why I’ve been missing-in-action the past few weeks? I’M BUYING A HOUSE!!!!! *big overwhelm* *major life change*
        • I get a little personal with the not-so-pretty side that this experience has been and how Stan and I are navigating these stressful times (won’t lie, it hasn’t been great, but it WILL be!).
        • When the complexities of family relationships present themselves, what matters the most?

Tune in for an honest, authentic, and heartfelt episode full of personal insights and life lessons. Per usual, duh.

I’m back! Hi, did you miss me? Don’t worry, I’m diving into everything that’s been going on in my world and catching you up about my recent bout with depression (which I’m redefining as my ‘Lost Girl Era’).

    Here’s a look at this week’s episode:

    • I share the emotional journey of job searching, overcoming multiple rejections, and what happens when it doesn’t work out.

    • My house-hunting adventure and how you can’t bamboozle me.

  • In-Between: Good News and Positive Self Talk

Happy July! Thank you for the holiday break, but I’m back baby. Your girl also needs that good juju, so send some my way. (more on that later)

Here’s looking at this week’s episode:

    • Where I’ve been and where I’m going
    • NEW MUSIC! For someone who doesn’t consider themself up to date on a lot of new music, your girl has been tryna keep up with the pop queens reigning this summer! Ahem, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kesha!!!
    • Health updates! I have kept this mum, but I had a little scare but everything is good! I recap what was going on, what led me there (lol), and the outcome!
      • (Also, the story on how we even got here is worth the listen. HA!)
    • Positive self talk – not just affirmations, not just journaling, literally saying to your self in detail why you’re proud of you, recognizing all your hard work, seeing how far you’ve already come…. it’s incredible the power it has on you and your ability to accomplish whatever you’ve set out to do.

There are some good nuggets of wisdom in this episode, and I hope they help you like they have been helping me. 😉

  • In-Between: Sexuality is a Spectrum w/ Alex Armijo

To close Pride Month out with a bang, I asked my good friend, Alex Armijo, to come back on the pod and discuss a topic that puts me a little out of my comfort zone…. sexuality. Dun dun DUN! One might blame Chappel Roan, but this episode was inspired by the question, what does queer even mean?

Alex is an artist, DEI thought leader, a disability, LGBTQIA+, and human rights advocate. Basically, one of my favorite people to discuss these types of topics with. We also dive into Inside Out 2 (hehe).

Here’s a look at what we discuss:

    • Sexuality is a spectrum
    • Chapell Roan and her ownership of her queer identity and how that inspires others
    • What does queer even mean?
    • Alex and I share our first experiences with “sexuality”
    • Labels and how they can help or hurt….
    • What “coming out” represents
    • Finding your communities – they’re out there!
    • No matter what, who you love and what you enjoy are perfect and no one should ever take that away <3

This episode was scary for me to do, but sexuality isn’t something to be ashamed of. This is for anyone who may be scared, confused, or needing a reminder that they are perfect just the way they are.

Let your freak flag fly, baby!

  • In-Between: Adventures in Atlanta & Internet Friends w/ Sherreece Rowe

Note to anyone visiting Elizabeth in Atlanta- we’re going to be walking! (LOL) On that note, welcome back to the podcast, one of my favorite internet friends, Sherreece Rowe!

Sherreece and I were connected through my husband Stan during a sales call after sharing she was a podcaster. The rest they say is history. Finally after a year and a half, Sher and I met in person when she visited me in Atlanta.

This episode is our Atlanta recap, from the hilarious shenanigans we got into and so much more, here’s a look at what you’re in store for:

    • Welcome to Atlanta, apparently you have to pay $ for a lot (I mean, try getting a dj to play your song without a tip)
    • The food…. and how it wasn’t a win for Sherreece
    • Is Maryland a southern state?  Jury is still out on that one!
    • Walk walk walk walk walk everywhere – when I tell you we’re walking, believe me
    • Shutting down the Claremont Lounge
    • Internet friends and how to make them
    • Creative pursuits and how we support each other

The amount of giggles giggled in this episode barely hold a candle to the fun that we had while Sher was in town. Can’t wait our next visit, and in the meantime, you can check out Sher at the links below:

  • In-Between: Existential Musings

We’re back this week with some existential musings – oOoOo! Not sure if you’ve heard of A Trip To Infinity, a documentary on Netflix about infinity, but any time I watch it, I’m introspecting. I’ve also been in a creative rut the past week or two., so I’m sharing what’s helped get me out of it. Between these themes, I’ve had some interesting musings that I wanted to share with you all, hence the main topic for this week’s episode.

    Here’s a quick episode recap:

    • How is it summer and I haven’t been by a body of water?
    • My body HURTS! These hips absolutely lie. Hello 33.
    • Emotionally wrecking television – I’m looking at you Queen Charlotte!
    • Emotionally wrecking movies – Inside Out 2; my body is ready
    • Creative Ruts – ugh. How I got out and my advice for you to get of your own!
    • Existential Musings – inspired by infinity; how I ground myself with our “speck” of existence and choosing to live loudly and boldly
    • What does it mean to truly live?
  • In-Between: Bridgerton, Alligators, & Catching Up

It may be a short episode, but I give you all the fast fact updates in my life. Can you believe it’s June (what!)? Side note- Happy Pride!

    Here’s a look at this week’s topics:

    • To Wong Fu is one of my favorite all time movies
    • Birthday shenanigans, from mingling friend groups to mysterious falls (don’t worry, I landed like a princess LOL)
    • Blue Ridge mountain getaway weekend
    • Atlanta had a water main break… multiple times
    • Family reunions and alligator run-ins
    • Renaissance Festival epiphanies
    • BRIDGERTON! But really lets talk about Queen Charlotte (swoon!)
    • Special Pride Month message
