  • It’s All For The Plot

Let’s catch up on what the last month has entailed! Taurus season was good to me – from celebrating my birthday in New York, being surrounded by some of the best people in the world, and reflecting on the THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of The In-Between – there’s a lot to yap about and get deep. This episode covers what’s been going on in my life, the next big major plot twist in the Movie of Liz, and a few hilarious life choices I’ve made recently, ahem, Invisalign *face palm*.

Nothing in my life is the same as it was a year ago. Liz a few years ago wouldn’t be able to handle that… but Liz now? She’s thriving. If there’s anyone I’d bet on it’s me because if you can’t bet on yourself, who will? And I hope you can find that self belief here at The In-Between too. Now, let’s chat!

  • Overstimulated & Finding Your Hype People

Giggles, never ending to-do lists, and the chaos of home ownership – I kick things off all over the place. Rest assured, you’ll be laughing with me (and might even be able to relate).

On top of the life updates and ridiculousness of my overwhelming to-do list, I also stress the importance of having “hype” people in your life. You never know when you’re going to run into Ryan Seacrest, then your friends tries to give him your podcast Instagram handle. Did she succeed? You’ll have to listen to find out. The main point is no matter where you are on your journey, you need people in your corner hyping you up, believing in you, and rooting you on because it’s hard carrying everything yourself. Those special people deserve a callout because we’d be lost without ya.

You have the magic, and it’s ok to let someone put it on spotlight.

  • Sometimes It’s The Hope That Carries You Through

Good things come to those that wait, and we’re is BACK with an episode that will leave you giggling and loving yourself a little bit more. This is one of first episodes in a while where I felt like myself again.

From Goodwill dopamine rushes, the house finally coming together, teases about me and Ashleighanna’s Norway episode (and our next European vacay), and the most hilarious single girl hijinks video to date, there is quite a lot to giggle over.

We also get into my favorite past time, musings on living as your authentic self, embracing your vulnerability, and why hope is the most powerful thing you can hold on to at times.

This episode made me smile – I feel like myself again, but this time better, more capable, more sure, more me. I hope (see what I did there) you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • We’re So Back, Magic Included

Hey hey hey! I’m back feeling more like myself than I have in months. What a fabulous feeling!

This week, I’m hoping to make you giggle about my life as a cartoon character, and also empower you that no matter how tough the journey gets, you will make it out.  It’s been a difficult past few months and my journey towards healing continues to remind me of the magic of what it means to truly live.

Recorded on the spring equinox, I discuss the significance of new beginnings, the importance of community, and the sheer wonder of that we get to exist at all.

I share a little bit about my Norway trip, but I’m saving that for a full recap episode – all I will say is I got the biggest sign I’m on the right path. What great reassurance can you ask for? I’m also talking about my amusing challenges as a single, independence-driven woman. Ahem, I almost didn’t make it hanging a curtain rod. HA!

This week’s episode is all about the importance of choosing oneself, seeking joy in the small and big moments, and always betting on yourself. I mean, what better person than yourself?

  • The Update You’ve Been Waiting For

I’m BACK! And I’m here to talk about what’s been going on and share some major updates from my life.

First off, I leave for Norway this week, and I share some of the challenges with last-minute flight changes. *She’s anxious girly LOL*

I also open up about my divorce, emphasizing the journey of self-love and choosing personal happiness. This Norway trip marks a significant chapter in my healing and self-discovery process. Life is magical.

Join me as I share my experiences and insights on resilience, community, and the courage to forge a new path forward. Community is key when navigating a tough in-between. I’m happy you’re here for mine.

  • In-Between: Winter Wonderlands

It’s snowing in Georgia again! My inner child can’t contain itself, so that’s the reason the episode is late. I am who I am!

Speaking of snow, we’re still in the thick of winter. Animals are still hibernating. Crops haven’t begun to sprout. It got me thinking, sometimes we need to hibernate too. When we enter a slower season, where there’s only so much we can deal with, sometimes we need to “hibernate.”  Handle what you can handle. Focus on what you can focus on. I share more of my musings on this in the episode, as well as the importance of prioritizing your own happiness is the most important thing you can do for yourself. (Sometimes choosing you means hibernating. Now you’re starting to get my point!)

That’s the deep stuff…I’m also sharing my personal goals for this year, my neighborhood hero escapade in the snow, and my upcoming trip to Norway.

  • In-Between: New Year New Me

I’m back baby! Yes, I’ve returned to my podcast, addressing my impromptu hiatus and sharing the life changes I’ve been navigating. When your life implodes, you give up control (for the time being). I speak candidly about emotional turmoil, the importance of letting go of control, and how I’ve managed my mental health through the process. We close the episode out with catching-up on pop culture moments, including my thoughts on the Luigi United Healthcare incident, Martha Stewart’s documentary, the drama surrounding ‘It Ends With Us,’ and a glowing review of the ‘Wicked’ movie. Spoiler alert: Ariana SLAYED!

I’m so happy to be back. Here’s to 2025!

  • In-Between: Seasonal Allergies & Self-Intellectualization

Allergy season is in full swing in Georgia, and I am suffering! I didn’t know you could develop allergies as an adult. *Insert all the frowny face emojis*

In other news, we’re back with another episode! I’m entertaining you all with my sinus journey, but I’m also bringing back some more serious-in-tone topics. This week’s in particular is about self-intellectualization.

Here’s topics in this week’s episode:

    • Seasonal allergies and their insufferable attach on my sinuses
    • Sometimes you need a good rot day – aka being lazy af
    • I finally stepped into the Vanderpump Rules world. This should be interesting.
    • What is self-intellectualization?
      • What are examples?
    •  Why suppressing or avoiding extreme or intense emotions over time can really affect your emotional,  mental, and physical health
    • Difference in self-intellectualization and self-rationalization (they’re two different self-defense mechanisms)
    • Difference in self-intellectualization and self-awareness (one is healthier than the other)
    • What we can do to combat self-intellectualization?
      • Ask yourself, what am I avoiding?
    • Lots of self-love “Lizdoms” in this episode

Remember, things discussed in today’s episode should not be considered medical advice and is only for educational purposes. If this episode resonated with you or made you think of someone you may know, I highly encourage you to go talk to a professional.

  • Lizdom of the Week: December 3rd

In the pursuit of more, we should pursue less. Does that sound right? According to Greg McKeown, author of Essentialism, that is exactly the idea. This week's Lizdom is a mindset shift from priorities to priority (yes, we're slimming our to-do's down to one). It's about "the pursuit of success can be a catalyst for failure" if we don't take back control of what we spend our time on.

We're getting closer to the end of the year, so maybe you're thinking about your goals for next year. Maybe you're thinking about how to close up the last few remaining goals you had set for this year. Either way, today's Lizdom will help ground yourself in your pursuit for more while doing less.
