  • Creating Waves with Marketing Queen, Kaylyn Fudge

I’m back with the first guest of the summer, and this is a HOT one, y’all! I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with the dynamic Kaylyn Fudge, founder and CEO of Blk Book Studio.

Kaylyn shares her journey from betting on herself to founding a renown creative marketing agency. We discuss navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship, the importance of self-belief, and the excitement around Kaylyn’s HUGE upcoming  event, Heat Wave, here in Atlanta on July 12th. You’ll be treated to insights on confidence and self-love (our favorite here at The In-Between), building an agency and developing a team, balancing corporate roles with entrepreneurial ambitions, and so much more. • It’s All For The Plot

Let’s catch up on what the last month has entailed! Taurus season was good to me – from celebrating my birthday in New York, being surrounded by some of the best people in the world, and reflecting on the THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of The In-Between – there’s a lot to yap about and get deep. This episode covers what’s been going on in my life, the next big major plot twist in the Movie of Liz, and a few hilarious life choices I’ve made recently, ahem, Invisalign *face palm*.

Nothing in my life is the same as it was a year ago. Liz a few years ago wouldn’t be able to handle that… but Liz now? She’s thriving. If there’s anyone I’d bet on it’s me because if you can’t bet on yourself, who will? And I hope you can find that self belief here at The In-Between too. Now, let’s chat!

  • Overstimulated & Finding Your Hype People

Giggles, never ending to-do lists, and the chaos of home ownership – I kick things off all over the place. Rest assured, you’ll be laughing with me (and might even be able to relate).

On top of the life updates and ridiculousness of my overwhelming to-do list, I also stress the importance of having “hype” people in your life. You never know when you’re going to run into Ryan Seacrest, then your friends tries to give him your podcast Instagram handle. Did she succeed? You’ll have to listen to find out. The main point is no matter where you are on your journey, you need people in your corner hyping you up, believing in you, and rooting you on because it’s hard carrying everything yourself. Those special people deserve a callout because we’d be lost without ya.

You have the magic, and it’s ok to let someone put it on spotlight.

  • Sometimes It’s The Hope That Carries You Through

Good things come to those that wait, and we’re is BACK with an episode that will leave you giggling and loving yourself a little bit more. This is one of first episodes in a while where I felt like myself again.

From Goodwill dopamine rushes, the house finally coming together, teases about me and Ashleighanna’s Norway episode (and our next European vacay), and the most hilarious single girl hijinks video to date, there is quite a lot to giggle over.

We also get into my favorite past time, musings on living as your authentic self, embracing your vulnerability, and why hope is the most powerful thing you can hold on to at times.

This episode made me smile – I feel like myself again, but this time better, more capable, more sure, more me. I hope (see what I did there) you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • In-Between: New Year New Me

I’m back baby! Yes, I’ve returned to my podcast, addressing my impromptu hiatus and sharing the life changes I’ve been navigating. When your life implodes, you give up control (for the time being). I speak candidly about emotional turmoil, the importance of letting go of control, and how I’ve managed my mental health through the process. We close the episode out with catching-up on pop culture moments, including my thoughts on the Luigi United Healthcare incident, Martha Stewart’s documentary, the drama surrounding ‘It Ends With Us,’ and a glowing review of the ‘Wicked’ movie. Spoiler alert: Ariana SLAYED!

I’m so happy to be back. Here’s to 2025!

  • In-Between: Temporary Chaos

I’m back this week taking you through the chaos of the past month and a half. **if you only knew the REAL truth**

Here’s what we’re catching up on!

    • Updates on momma Cindy’s hip replacement recovery
    • The whirlwind of moving into our new house
    • Humorous anecdotes about my excessive wedding registry – I clearly thought I was entertaining an army!
    • My fav – the ‘quirks’ of adulting **melts on the floor**
    • Hiring someone to quit your job for you, apparently that’s a thing now

More importantly, I delve into advice on letting go of control. YES I KNOW! A triple Taurus giving actual advice on letting go of control. It’s important though.

I also reflect on how to handle overwhelming life changes. Not as much advice on that one because I’m currently navigating that in-between myself. 😉 Tune in for a mix of humor, personal experiences, and life lessons as I walk you through my recent hectic but exciting journey.

  • In-Between: My Lost Girl Era & Love Island USA

Navigating the Lost Girl Era: Rejection, Resilience, and Rediscovery

I’m back! Hi, did you miss me? Don’t worry, I’m diving into everything that’s been going on in my world and catching you up about my recent bout with depression (which I’m redefining as my ‘Lost Girl Era’).

    Here’s a look at this week’s episode:

    • Depression? Nah, we’re calling it our Lost Girl Era
    • I share the emotional journey of job searching, overcoming multiple rejections, and what happens when it doesn’t work out.
    • Better yet, how I’m not giving up and how I inadvertently found small wins when I felt numb. Sometimes sitting with the uncomfortable feelings leads to new perspectives and observations.
    • LOVE ISLAND USA SEASON 6 – CAN I GET A HELL YES? I go into my binge-watching experience, offering a humorous and heartfelt take on reality TV.
    • My house-hunting adventure and how you can’t bamboozle me.
    • EMF Waves – wtf – my peculiar revelation about the impact of wearing an Apple Watch and my chronic pain.
    • New York City pitch emails – holy level of imposter syndrome!

No matter what, embrace your resilience, don’t forget your self-belief, and remember the power of redirection.

  • In-Between: Good News and Positive Self Talk

Happy July! Thank you for the holiday break, but I’m back baby. Your girl also needs that good juju, so send some my way. (more on that later)

Here’s looking at this week’s episode:

    • Where I’ve been and where I’m going
    • NEW MUSIC! For someone who doesn’t consider themself up to date on a lot of new music, your girl has been tryna keep up with the pop queens reigning this summer! Ahem, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kesha!!!
    • Health updates! I have kept this mum, but I had a little scare but everything is good! I recap what was going on, what led me there (lol), and the outcome!
      • (Also, the story on how we even got here is worth the listen. HA!)
    • Positive self talk – not just affirmations, not just journaling, literally saying to your self in detail why you’re proud of you, recognizing all your hard work, seeing how far you’ve already come…. it’s incredible the power it has on you and your ability to accomplish whatever you’ve set out to do.

There are some good nuggets of wisdom in this episode, and I hope they help you like they have been helping me. 😉

  • In-Between: Sexuality is a Spectrum w/ Alex Armijo

To close Pride Month out with a bang, I asked my good friend, Alex Armijo, to come back on the pod and discuss a topic that puts me a little out of my comfort zone…. sexuality. Dun dun DUN! One might blame Chappel Roan, but this episode was inspired by the question, what does queer even mean?

Alex is an artist, DEI thought leader, a disability, LGBTQIA+, and human rights advocate. Basically, one of my favorite people to discuss these types of topics with. We also dive into Inside Out 2 (hehe).

Here’s a look at what we discuss:

    • Sexuality is a spectrum
    • Chapell Roan and her ownership of her queer identity and how that inspires others
    • What does queer even mean?
    • Alex and I share our first experiences with “sexuality”
    • Labels and how they can help or hurt….
    • What “coming out” represents
    • Finding your communities – they’re out there!
    • No matter what, who you love and what you enjoy are perfect and no one should ever take that away <3

This episode was scary for me to do, but sexuality isn’t something to be ashamed of. This is for anyone who may be scared, confused, or needing a reminder that they are perfect just the way they are.

Let your freak flag fly, baby!

  • In-Between: Adventures in Atlanta & Internet Friends w/ Sherreece Rowe

Note to anyone visiting Elizabeth in Atlanta- we’re going to be walking! (LOL) On that note, welcome back to the podcast, one of my favorite internet friends, Sherreece Rowe!

Sherreece and I were connected through my husband Stan during a sales call after sharing she was a podcaster. The rest they say is history. Finally after a year and a half, Sher and I met in person when she visited me in Atlanta.

This episode is our Atlanta recap, from the hilarious shenanigans we got into and so much more, here’s a look at what you’re in store for:

    • Welcome to Atlanta, apparently you have to pay $ for a lot (I mean, try getting a dj to play your song without a tip)
    • The food…. and how it wasn’t a win for Sherreece
    • Is Maryland a southern state?  Jury is still out on that one!
    • Walk walk walk walk walk everywhere – when I tell you we’re walking, believe me
    • Shutting down the Claremont Lounge
    • Internet friends and how to make them
    • Creative pursuits and how we support each other

The amount of giggles giggled in this episode barely hold a candle to the fun that we had while Sher was in town. Can’t wait our next visit, and in the meantime, you can check out Sher at the links below:
